Left Wrist Hand Thumb Thermo Cast.
If you've fractured your wrist in a fall or had tendon repair surgery, you need to set your joint in place to help it recover fully. The best way to achieve this goal is to use a tool like the Thermo Cast™ splint.
This splint had been specially designed to fit the contours of your left wrist, including your hand and thumb. It has been made with the stabilization of the thumb, metaphalangeal and carpal bone fractures in mind. A further important use for this cast is in the immobilization of your wrist following tendon repair surgery. Whatever has happened to your wrist, this splint will help you get things back in order.
This splint is lightweight, having been made according to the latest principles of material science, so that you can have full range of motion in the rest of your left arm. This minimizes the hassle of the whole recovery period. All of our splints comes with two stockinettes which should be worn as part of the splint.
The splint is made of low density polyethylene which has been laminated to a closed cell foam layer to provide the ultimate comfort level. What's more, you don't even have to take it off when you go for an X-Ray examination as these materials are completely radiolucent. That is, you can see the bones on the screen right through the whole splint.
If you find that the splint is slightly awkwardly fitting, but not so much that you need to get a different size, you can alter it at home. All it takes is a competent volunteer with a heat gun, cast saw or even a pair of scissors. The materials used within the splint are durable and strong, yet modifiable with the right tools at hand.
These casts are fully ventilated to minimize the discomfort caused by the buildup of sweat and other debris. They are water resistant and very easy to clean with a quick wipe of a wet cloth.
If your wrist is swollen and bruised, there's nothing to worry about when using one of these casts. They make use of a cinch-pull hook and pile fastening system which easily accommodates any swelling and edema that may have developed over the course of your injury and subsequent recovery period.
If you want your left wrist to recover quickly and effectively after your fracture or tendon surgery, opt for the Thermo Cast™ splint. It's your path to a comfortable, convenient recovery.
