Women's Pendulous Lumbosacral Support is a back brace that is used to help relieve pain and treat injuries in the lumbar spine. It belongs to a class of orthotics recommended by spine specialists to patients with back problems.

The brace provides pressure on the wearer's abdominal area and thus helps in lessening the weight and pressure exerted on the lower back. This helps improve lumbar spine stabilization and creates the best conditions for proper healing of the injured spinal area.

The brace is used to address a number of ailments:

• Treating lower back muscle pain. This condition is particularly prevalent among elderly patients, or those who have suffered some form of injury to the back. The condition can be quite painful and can last for anywhere between a few weeks to several years. In such cases the brace is recommended by the patient's doctor and should be used as directed.
• Women can sometimes have trouble lifting things due to the back pain. The brace helps add support to the wearer's abdomen as well as back and provides lifting power as well as protection for the back from getting injured in the process of lifting heavy objects that require greater strength on the wearer's part. A study showed women were capable of lifting more than a kilogram of extra weight while wearing the support than without it.
• Improving the posture of the wearer while bending and lifting things during everyday chores. Adopting a bad posture while engaging in work activities is what causes harm to the lower back in the first place. Wearing the brace helps your back stay in the right shape while bending, and thus reduces the chances of an injury occurring from such activities.
• Support during exercise is another service provided by the belt. Some form of support belt is routinely used by weightlifters while lifting particularly heavy weights. The same service can be provided by the Women's Pendulous Lumbosacral Support for the wearer while engaging in exercises that involve bending and stretching.

This product is made of a strong and sturdy white brocade material that is able to withstand the pressure applied on the back in the wearer's day to day activities without loosening or breaking. The belt is wrapped about the wearer's waist and adjusted to the wearer's particular body shape using the laces attached to the sides of the device. The product is available in a variety of hip sizes from 38 to 60 and can accommodate patients of different builds and provide the necessary support for the various kinds of lower back pain the wearer may be suffering from. 

Features include; a three pull side lace, left front hook and eye, elastic releases on the top as well as bottom, a pair of 14 inch preshaped steels, flexible stays on the front, side and back. The device is specially proportioned for wearer's with larger figures who possess a full or pendulous abdomen, while the front cupping is able to accommodate posted musculature. Additional hose supporters can be included upon request by the buyer.
