takes away the pain 100%
Through the years, I've written many reviews for this corset that I love and hate....I now have to wear it from dawn to dusk daily and maybe because of that usage (and the necessary washings) it just doesn't last as long as it used to. So I don't know if the quality has lessened (the stays keep popping out of their seams and hitting me in my ribs and/or thigh; and one of the hooks tore out) or I'm using it more, but now, I need to get a replacement every 5 months. Fortunately I can now order it from Freeman directly. Also, my scoliosis is getting so much worse so now the corset is hitting me in my ribs where it never did before. But as I keep saying, I can't live without it. It is the best one for me and a little discomfort is worth not having the back pain I have without it. Also........HEED THIS.....do not try to wear it through TSA. They act as if they have never seen a back brace before and make you TAKE IT OFF to put it in their explosives tracing machine.....as if I look like a suicide bomber!!! So annoying!!

staff so helpful in choosing the right brace!
I get so much more relief from Freeman corset back braces than any other style. But this is the first time I have ordered directly from the company, and I found the customer service wonderful. I have been wearing a Freeman Lumbosacral support brace (three-pull style) for many years, but recently I noticed it was digging into my upper back. So I went to the Freeman website to see what other options they have. I noticed the similar but somewhat shorter two pull style and called the office to make sure I ordered the best size. In talking with Diane, she noted that it sounded like I was "short-waisted." She nailed it! The orthotist who fitted my first Freeman brace should have noticed that and recommended a two pull style in the first place. The brace was in stock and I received it a few days later.

Can't live without it......literally
I have been wearing Freeman corsets for too many years to count. The only way to save my sanity and self from pain. I have reviewed this before but now want to give kudos to Diane at the Freeman office for her incredible, friendly, professional help. I had ordered the wrong size and she contacted me to check. Then I'm so bored, I ordered and different model and she called to discuss the differences and I realized that it "isn't broken, so don't fix it. ..It would be nice, of course, if they made them in black. Hint, hint.

made for womens back pain!!
I have tried many back braces. They were all awful because they all pinched my hips!! My lower back, from L1-L5 are bad, if I tighten the other braces up, they would ride up or made sores on my hip bones! This brace stays where it is supposed to, and supports my back when doing rigorous activities like riding my horses! It is well worth the money!

My love/hate relationship with my corsets
I had polio at age 11 and post polio syndrome at age 40, when I had to start wearing lumbar sacral corsets from time to time. Always Freeman. Now, for the past 9 years, my polio caused scoliosis has so far advanced that I have to wear the corset every day. It works perfectly, limits my back pain and restricts my movement so the scoliosis doesn't get worse. But, of course, I hate it because of the restriction. Medicare paid the prosthetics office the $350 they charged, but only would pay every 5 years. I wear this corset all day and launder it each week, it can last a year to 18 months; not 5 years. And I was bored with the same corset. So I ordered 2 different ones on-line and have learned that the only corset that really works for me is the Freeman. Much to my delight, I could order it online for $80. I am so excited. So my love/ hate continues. The Freeman corset takes away my pain as it has for almost 40 years, it hides well under my clothes but I hate having to wear it for exactly the reason it works...the restriction. So excited that now I can order one once a year. But why, oh why, can't they make it in black!! I guess there is just no pleasing me.
