40+ years for quadriplegic needing support

Posted by KSJ on Sep 7th 2024

My husband has been quadriplegic for > 40 years and uses this corset for support and to help him breathe. Hs been a lifesaver. We don't like the velcro front closure as much as the version in past that had metal clips but we have made it work .

    Quality made

Velcro could use additional stitching to keep it from coming apart

    Great product

Posted by Unknown on Feb 12th 2020

After trying various low quality and even a rigid back paneled tlso brace, I decided to give this a try. The other braces either did not offer support, or shifted and moved to the point it caused discomfort. This brace stays put, and offers much needed support. I would prefer a similar style brace that had actual laces that I could adjust exactly the way I liked for fit. This straps comes close but could be a little better. I would recommend this to anyone considering it and I would consider buying another down the road.

    Best for lower back pain

Posted by Relieved on Dec 31st 2019

Just bought my second brace; wearing out my first one after 14 years. I only wear it when I need it but when I do, it is the best. Takes the load off my back so it can heal while I remain mobile. When doctors told my dad he would have severe back pain for the rest of his life I loaned him my brace, six months later he was no longer in pain.

    In my dreams

Posted by JimBob on Jul 17th 2018

I have relied on a corset like this for forty years, to help me through periods of low back pain. I cared for my corset well, because I figured I'd never find another like it. Finally, it gave up the ghost and I was distraught. I knew one of the new plastic jobs wasn't going to do the trick. Then a prosthetics professional pointed me at Freeman and -- hallelujah, I found the exact same corset still for sale. Dealing with Freeman was a breeze -- friendly and helpful . My new corset arrived quickly and is made as solidly as my old one was. (In other words, this one is going to outlast yours truly.) Count me a happy customer!

    2nd one

Posted by Jon on Jul 12th 2017

Just purchased my 2nd one. I wear it almost daily, however the old one only lasted about 3 years before I needed to replace it. Great quality but wish it had lasted longer

    Should have purchased sometime ago

Posted by Dale on Jul 4th 2017

I recently purchased a model 546. It has helped my arthritic back tremendously. Quite frankly I like it and find it comfortable compared to being without it. My physician had me fitted with an Aspen device that I found bulky and cumbersome. I did some research and decided to give the 546 a try. I now wear it daily and find movement much easier and less painful. My physician approved of my choice and will consider it as an option for other patients.

    Great Support

This support provides great support for my arthritic back and does so in a manner that is comfortable. Quite frankly, I like wearing it compared to the bulky cumbersome Aspen device that I was originally issued.
