Marlin Cervical Orthosis.
If you've suffered serious damage to your neck, you are likely to have been advised to use a cervical orthosis to protect you from further injury and to promote recovery. When you're purchasing a cervical orthosis, make sure you opt for a clinically designed model like this Marlin product. You don't even have to take it off for X-ray and CT scans!
Designed in collaboration with leading medical experts, this cervical orthosis can be used for long periods of time without any loss of function. It is highly durable and many people are shocked by how comfortable it is to wear.
It is constructed with a molded polyethylene two-piece frame, which is robust enough to hold a significant amount of weight, spreading it over a broad area and preventing excess amounts of local pressure. As it is important to have a stable neck, this device limits movements including bending the neck backwards, forwards, sideways and in a circular motion.
The mandibular section of its frame is known for its flexibility and contains a spacious opening for ventilation equipment. This space accommodates an adjustable Kydex yoke which can be used to alter the overall height of the device.
The occipital section at the back is designed for stability with an aluminum stay that can be molded to support the contour of your cervical arch, as well as to allow great flexion or extension of your neck. What's more, it can be used to relieve pressure on the individual bones of your cervical spine. The occipital and mandibular parts of the frame are held in place by hook and pile attachments for an extra level of security.
To make sure you're as comfortable as can be, this cervical orthosis comes with a removable foam liner covered in flannel for a touch of luxury. Check out our size chart to find the right Marlin cervical orthosis for your needs.
