Right Cock-up Wrist Splint.

A cock-up wrist splint is a type of wearable which can be used to treat a wide range of conditions localized at or near the wrist and hand. Wrist splints are most commonly prefabricated with thermoplastics, cushion liners, and Velcro and may contain plastic or metal stays. They vary in length and may or may not incorporate a thumb Spica. Generally, the wrist should be set in a matter that offers at least 20 degrees of extension to prevent potential flexion contractures caused by prolonged use. A wrist splint reduces recovery time by immobilizing, stabilizing, and protecting a healing injury.

The Cock-up Wrist Splint is a hook 'n pile loop-and-lock closure model with a heavy duty natural canvas glove for a more rigid support. Its removable 7-5/8" aluminum spoon is held in place by a snap fastener. It is flexible, lightweight and gives added stability. Its natural canvas does not readily show soiling and can be easily cleaned. There are some other features as well which include soft flannel lining and elastic fly. It is sized according to wrist and palm circumference.

It is also the most commonly recommended device historically used for Carpal Tunnel Treatment. Like, most of the carpal tunnel splints in the market today, our Cock-up Splints are durable, rigid structures designed to hold the wrists and hands “cocked-up” in a single position during sleep. Muscular skeletal research on the efficacy of these carpal tunnel wrist splints has given rise to lot of good results about such a product.

It comfortably and firmly holds the wrist in a neutral position to promote healing and decrease pain. Two pre-shaped metal splints — one around the palm and other around the back of the hand — are removable and can contoured, if necessary. It has a perforated neoprene glove that is breathable for comfortable, extended wear. Its hook-and-loop fasteners permit easy, one-handed adjustment and closure.
