Left Thermo Cast Thumb Abduction Splint.
Protect your thumb and speed the healing process with this Thermo Cast splint. This splint offers rigid stability for those who have suffered sprained or broken thumbs, or those with a torn UCL, a condition commonly known as ‘gamekeeper’s thumb’. Giving your thumb the proper support can be the difference in ensuring a quick recovery and protecting yourself from further injury.
The splint is perfect for athletes such as skiers or volleyballers who may have injured their ulnar collateral ligament (UCL), and is especially ideal for hockey players who may choose to wear the splint inside their glove. Broken bones and longer term breakdown of the ligaments can also be treated with proper support.
The Thermo Cast splint is made from lightweight polyethylene, which can be easily modified to better fit the wearer with a heat gun and/or scissors. The material makes it water resistant for bathing and showering, and extremely easy to clean when not in use. It is also fully ventilated and can be worn with bandages and dressings. In addition, the splint is radiolucent, meaning it does not need to be removed for X-rays. It closes easily and securely with a strong velcro enclosure.
Help your body heal and get your life back to normal with the Thermo Cast thumb splint.
