An L4396 ankle foot orthosis is must have soft padding in the areas were the othosis come in contact with the skin. The brace may have either a static or a dynamic design, this means the brace can either allow absolutly no movement, or it may guide the movements of the wearer. L4396 braces must be adjustable in its fit, and how the brace positions the ankle and foot must also be adjustable. This brace may be walked in, however it should only be walked in as little as possible, as these types of braces are not intended to be a walking cast.
